Emi is a self taught artist who lives in Japan.
She creates drawings and paintings using acrylic paint, ink pens, pencils, digital painting and occasionally oil pastels.
Emi enjoys the visual relationship that exists between colors and lines and believes this ongoing observation and appreciation has honed her skill in developing and creating abstract art.
She likes discovering and creating new compositions, whilst retaining harmony within the image.
A significant process within Emi’s art is the repetition of creation, destruction and recreation of a particular image until she feels that it is complete.
This striving for harmonisation and evolution from destruction, is the driving force behind her work.
Emi won 6th place in 2023 WORLD ART AWARDS “Abstract Expressionism” category.
